About

My decision to become a celebrant came after attending a neighbour’s baby naming ceremony, when I felt this was something I would like to do.  After contacting Attorney-General’s Department they advised they were making it compulsory that a course be undertaken and I was in the first batch of students in Canberra.

My background is similar to a number of other celebrants and includes teacher/tutor/training of adults.  I have many years of experience in the wedding industry and believe my speaking and presentation skills are highly professional.

During my time as a celebrant I have conducted hundreds of ceremonies and have been able to undertake the marriage of my two sons, a niece and a nephew.

Being a celebrant is my full time profession.  It is an incredible privilege to be able to meet so many different people from varied backgrounds and be able to hear your stories and understand what you want. My highest priority is that your wedding ceremony reflects you as individuals. I can provide lots of ideas and will work with you to produce the ceremony of your dreams.

The services I offer as a celebrant are:

  • An obligation free meeting where I will explain the process and answer any questions you may have. This also gives you the opportunity to gauge whether I am the person you would like to perform your ceremony.

  • A reliable, professional service

  • Competitive rates with no extra costs. Note that in certain circumstances, I can offer a discounted rate (similar to a registry office) for a very simple ceremony at my home involving a small number of witnesses

  • Provide witnesses if needed

  • Recommendations for venues

  • Letters for shortening of time and fiancé visa application

  • Additional meetings and phone calls and emails at no extra cost

  • Use of my sound system (including cordless microphone, Madonna headset microphone and music via Bluetooth, IPod, IPad or phone cable)

  • Assist with selecting readings, poetry, and symbols

  • Apply for marriage certificate registration to the appropriate Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) together with my documentation. While this saves you having to get certified copies of documents at a later date please note that additional BDM expenses are incurred.

  • Arrangements for a back-up celebrant in case of any emergency

  • A walk-through on site (if required)

  • A signing table and white cloth (if required)

  • Delivery of a unique, memorable ceremony

Please contact me to take up my offer of an obligation free discussion of your requirements.
